Privacy policy

Your choice
VK is the Volkan Kuday iOS artist app. You can browse, play films, and save songs without enabling listening analytics. Analytics starts only when you choose Allow analytics. Change your choice at any time in Artist → Privacy & analytics. Turning it off stops new collection on that device; it does not erase events already collected, and previously queued events may still be delivered.
Optional listening analytics
If you allow analytics, VK sends PostHog, Inc. events about which songs you open, playback time, preview completion, saves and unsaves, music-service link taps, and Inside the Song interactions. Where sharing is available, events record whether the share sheet was opened, completed, or cancelled—not the recipient or message. Events include timestamps, song identifiers and titles, a random persistent app identifier, and random playback/session identifiers. Basic context includes app/build and SDK versions, device model, operating-system version, screen size, language/time-zone settings, and network connection type. We use this information to understand engagement and improve VK.
What is not included
We do not attach your name or email to listening events, use advertising identifiers, record your screen, collect your contacts, or send dedication text to PostHog. Automatic screen and tap capture, session replay, and automatic error capture are disabled. IP-based location enrichment is disabled for listening events. A random identifier still allows events from the same installation to be grouped; these events are not described as fully anonymous. We do not use this data for targeted advertising or sell listening data.
Local data and media requests
Saved songs and your privacy preference are stored on your device. Playing a film or loading remote content makes a request to volkankuday.com and its hosting/media providers. Those providers receive technical request information, such as the requested resource and IP address, to deliver and protect the service even when optional listening analytics is off. Apple may separately process TestFlight feedback, diagnostics, and App Store information under its own privacy practices.
Service providers and external links
Opted-in listening events are processed through PostHog Cloud in the United States. Hosting and media providers process requests needed to operate the app. Data may be processed outside your country. Opening Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or another external destination is subject to that service’s privacy policy. If you choose to share content, the destination you select receives what you share. If you email us, we receive the information you include so we can respond.
Retention and requests
Analytics and service information may be retained after a session ends for the purposes described here. Disabling analytics does not automatically delete past events. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you, contact hello@volkankuday.com. Because listening events are not attached to a name or email, we may need additional information to locate relevant records and may be unable to associate an installation with your request. Your available rights depend on where you live.
